The first thing we learn about ‘Willy Wonka’ is that he is the “greatest inventor and maker of chocolates that there has ever been”. This man is defined by chocolates, how could we not love him? The cinematic masterpiece is pure madness, enthusiasm, and inventions, construed together in the most spectacular way!
This film never gets old, but here are things we bet you didn’t know about the making of the movie. Enjoy!
#1 WONKA’S LIMP
It was Gene Wilder that insisted that Wonka has a limp. His reasoning? ‘That time on, no one will know if I’m lying or telling the truth’. Um, okay then.
2. THE FILM WAS SHOT IN MUNICH, GERMANY
If you look closely on the scenes that are shot on the streets you can see that some of the signs are in German.
3. THE MOVIE HAD A 2.1 MILLION POUND BUDGET.
That sounds like a lot, it wasn’t (even for a movie at the time).
