Andrew Cooney, a local insurance agent had paid for the stranger’s parking fee as a sneaky marketing ploy.Posting to Imgur, user @problematicporn told of how he’d got ‘caught up’ that day and hadn’t had time to pay the parking meter.
When he came back to his car, he found a note.
The note read: ‘I paid your parking meter for you… imagine what else I’m willing to do to protect your car.’Attached to the note was a business card for Andrew Cooney, a car insurance salesman based out of Rochester in Minnesota.
As you’d imagine, the note went viral for all the right reasons. Thousands flocked to Cooney’s Facebook page to praise his tenacity and creative marketing strategy. As one commenter said, “change the rules, change the game.”
