Leaving much less and fewer time for sleep has form of turn out to be a trademark for the fashionable 21st-century individual. And with that comes a slew of undesired penalties, just like the fixed tiredness, stress and so forth. That’s the place one gymnasium within the UK noticed a possibility and opened up napping courses.
That’s right, now you can pay for 15-minute stretching exercise followed by a 45-minute nap in an “ideal temperature” room full of strangers, and still call it “going to the gym.”
The organizers name it “Nap-Ercise” and so they say the category will: “reinvigorate the thoughts, enhance moods, and even burn the odd calorie,” which is simply summary sufficient for it to not be false.
Although, there might be some science behind it. According to a study done at the Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, participants who took a 45-minute nap in the middle of their day handled stress better than those who didn’t. And a different study from UC Berkeley found that an afternoon nap could increase the brain’s learning capacity.
For now, the class is on a trial run at David Lloyd Golf equipment in Sidcup, UK, and if it’s successful, the gyms might include the class in a membership cost in the other clubs across the UK.
Too tired for your gym class? Why won’t you take a nap then?
