A little boy taken from his mother in Alabama at the age of 5 has been found safe in Ohio 13 years later.Police say his incredible story unraveled when 18-year-old Julian Hernandez was, of all things, applying to college.
Hernandez was living with his father, who changed his name, Brian Kilmeade.
#1 – Julian Hernandez
When Julian Hernandez was 5 years old he was kidnapped, and while he was searched for extensively, he was never found. His mother suspected Julian’s father, Bobby Hernandez, who also vanished, draining their bank accounts and becoming undetectable.
#2 – 13 Years Later
When Julian was 18 he began applying for colleges, and it was then that he was told that his social security number did not match his actual name. His counselor ran a background check and found that he was a missing person listed on the National Center For Missing And Exploited Children list.
#3 – Authorities Notified
After authorities were notified, months of investigation ensued, and it was discovered that the boy was the missing Julian Hernandez who had vanished in 2002. His father had been evading the law by tampering with the boy’s records to keep him under the radar.
#4 – Bobby Hernandez
Bobby Hernandez was charged with kidnapping and tampering with records, which could mean he would end up imprisoned for up to 10 years. Julian’s mother was overjoyed that her son was finally found. She always knew that his father took him.

Julian’s family released a statement expressing their joy that Julian was found safe and thanking everyone for their support during his disappearance. This is a mother’s worst nightmare, made only slightly better knowing that he was with his own father.
