Why Kate Middleton can’t be a Bridesmaid at Sister Pippa’s Wedding

The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister pippa was thrown into the spotlight at the royal wedding of Kate and Prince William at Westminster Abbey six year ago.
But has Pippa asked Kate to be her bridesmaid?

#1 – Kate Middleton Got Hitched in 2011

You probably knew that she became a member of the Royal family in England by marrying Prince William. But most people were surprised to see just how pretty her sister and bridesmaid Pippa was.

#2 – One picture stood out

Pippa was wearing a curves-defining beautiful white dress as she followed her sister in Westminster Abbey, and it would become one of the event’s iconic photos.

#3 – Pippa is now engaged herself

And, as she is set to marry her fiance James Matthews this month, most assumed that Kate would be one of the bridesmaids.

#4 – But she won’t…

According to rules, the bridesmaid in these ceremonies is typically unmarried, of marriageable age, and a member of the bride’s family. Kate, being married, is excluded by this rule.

#5 – Kate is likely to be the matron of honor or not in the bride party at all

But, her two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will be page boy and flower girl. Royals author Judy Wade told People: “Kate would upstage her sister. It’s a tricky situation for Pippa. “She would want her sister by her side, as who else would she trust to make things go well? But if your sister is a future Queen, she is going to upstage the bride and draw attention. Kate would want to be in the background as much as possible.”

#6 – Only Time Will Tell…

One thing is for sure: when Pippa does get set to marry Matthews, a 41-year-old banking tycoon in in her local village church in front of 150 guests, she will look totally fab.
