SHE made headlines after shocking the country with her youthful looks, now 70-year-old grandmother-of-four Carolyn Hartz is about to shock the rest of the world.
The mum-of three, who turns 70 in July, has been inundated with media requests since Bikini photos of Carolyn Hartz are become viral on social media.
Carolyn had requests for interviews come in from Brazil, Belgium, Ireland and Korea. She’s even been notified by her New York based son that she’s trending on social media. “I didn’t even know what that meant,” she laughed. “This has all happened in about eight days. It feels like a whirlwind.”
However the Perth-based Hartz, who is the author of Sugar Free Baking, is taking it all in her stride.
“I’m passionate about my book and what to share it with people,” she said.
Hartz believes the secret to her health and look using age as an excuse. And quitting sugar 28 years ago.
Meet Carolyn Hartz,
the proprietor of SweetLife and grandmother that went sugar-free 28 years in the past and now doesn’t even look half her age.
After being diagnosed with pre-diabetes, the 69-year-old had to give up the sweet stuff in order to get her blood sugar back on track. The used-to-be sugar addict cut the ingredient out of her diet 28 years ago and now uses an alternative called Xylitol instead.
Though her young looks aren’t just due to the fact she cut out sugar – she’s also a fan of regular exercise.
Carolyn says,“You have to watch what you put in your mouth — that’s number one — and two, you have to move your legs,” Despite what she says about the sugar-free diet to thank for her youthful looks, the Internet just doesn’t buy it…
Carolyn Hartz boasts a bikini body and glowing complexion that many women decades younger could only dream of.
Carolyn says,’Research has shown that obesity in Australia has reached epidemic levels and sugar has been a major contributing factor,’.
‘I have been sugar free for 28 years. It was difficult at first as I was a sugar addict but I believe it is one of the most important reasons I have been able to keep myself healthy and keep my body shape.
‘I make sure I eat protein with every meal especially breakfast. It stops the cravings.’
Mrs Hartz also urges people to never deprive themselves of the food and drinks they love but to be careful of ‘portion size’.
But the Internet just doesn’t buy it for many reasons, including surgery
The fact that she can afford expensive care
And some even think she’s using the story to advertise her own company
