Son Spends 2 Years Selling Lemonade To Buy A Horse, Then Cries When He Sees His Barn

Remember all the things you begged your parents for as a child? The list probably includes new toys, cool clothes, pets, and perhaps something ridiculous like a robot or a pet lion. As we grow, we realize that a lot of things need to be worked for, and it’s important for kids to know that not everything can be handed to them on a silver platter!

That’s why when Sabastian Lucas from Queensland, Australia decided that he really wanted a horse, he decided that he was going to do anything he could to get it. So what did he do? Well, he set up a lemonade brand to collect funds. For two whole years, he was constantly selling lemonade and iced tea to friends and family and saving every bit of cash he got his hands on – Christmas money, allowance, whatever it was, he saved it.

And it paid off! In that time, this young boy had managed to raise $3,000 – just enough for that horse he’s always wanted. When his parents saw how hard he’d worked, they headed out and secretly bought their son a white Welsh mountain pony named “Tom Boy”, snuck it into their stables, and surprised him with his brand new pet.

Needless to say, Sabastian was over the moon and burst into tears of happiness as soon as he saw Tom Boy! This boy’s definitely earned his new pet! Do like and share this great child’s tale of hard work and patience!
